Intake Gates
A sectional steel stoplog gate provided at the power house intake for isolation of the intake water passage during inspection, maintenance and repair works. The gate consists of individual stoplog elements with structural framing, sealing arrangements and suitable guide/embedded parts. The elements are vertically stacked and handled by a gantry/EOT crane or suitable lifting arrangement.
Steel hydraulic gate provided at the power house intake for controlling and isolating the water flow to the turbine/penstock system. The gate comprises a fabricated gate leaf, sealing arrangement, guides and embedded parts, and is operated by a suitable hoisting mechanism. The gate is designed to withstand the specified hydrostatic head and operating loads and to facilitate safe isolation of the intake passage during operation, emergency closure, inspection and maintenance.
A fabricated steel screening structure provided at the intake opening to prevent floating debris, logs, vegetation and other foreign materials from entering the water conductor system and turbine. The trash rack consists of suitably spaced vertical bars with supporting structural members and embedded frames, designed for the specified hydraulic loading and differential head, with provision for cleaning and maintenance as required..
